Despite the fact that she was unaware of the circumstances surrounding Xzavier's arrest by Laddie, she was positive that Xzavier had done nothing wrong. Despite the fact that she didn't know much about Xzavier in a short time, she was captivated by the unusual personality he possessed. Earlene would never have any cause to accuse Xavier of being malicious. There must be misunderstandings on both of parts. As a result, she intentionally agreed to Babara taking her prisoner in order to assist Xzavier in escaping the place. That was exactly what had happened.
Following that, Xzavier proceeded through the woods, only for a short time, and they were at the opposite end of the forest in a matter of minutes. An ancient, run-down house that had seen better days stood in the heart of the marsh, on the only piece of stable land there was. A portion of brickwork had been broken up to resemble a statue, but the statue had been removed. The grass on the ground underneath it provided a gentle slope leading up to the structure.
Xzavier rode his battle armor motorcycle to a secluded place as commanded by Babara. Adalia and Janae were both staying here for a brief time.
Adalia's attention had been distracted since leaving the governor's mansion, and she was preoccupied with constant worry about Xzavier. Janae saw how scared the girl was and kept making her feel better while bragging about how powerful Xzavier was.
"Hey, you know, I've never seen such a powerful man like him. " Janae said forcefully, "I don't want to imply that his fighting tactics are strong; rather, I want to underline that he is a strong individual on his own. I've never met a man who was brave enough to bargain with someone as powerful as the governor. He is the sole unique being in existence."
Adalia was fully aware of Xzavier's strength, yet this did not prevent her from worrying about his well-being. After all, he was up against government forces, not those of any particular tribe or clan.
"Vrooommmm!!!"
Adalia's loud, resonant roar could be heard from outside the house, and she dashed out the front door, excited to see the boy she loved.
In a greeting gesture, Xzavier extended his hand to her. "I'm back, just as I promised."
Adalia went over to Xzavier, giving him a bear hug and rubbing herself against him like a kitten. She, on the other hand, seemed perplexed when she discovered that Earlene was also present.
Following that, Xzavier informed Adalia and Janae of all that had happened recently.
"No matter what challenges we face together, I will be by your side." Adalia grasped his hand and gripped it tightly, refusing to let go.
"Me too." Xzavier caressed her hair tenderly.
Earlene stayed silent after witnessing everything. Aside from that, she couldn't believe her father would engage in behavior that violated both the law and morality. She recalled that her father had always maintained a sober and responsible tone. Despite the fact that the proof was right in front of her, Earlene refused to accept the truth of the situation."You are not responsible for this." Xzavier addressed Earlene with a direct stare, looked her in the eyes, and repeated what he had just spoken word for word.
"Earlene, because it has been decided that you are not safe in this place, it is time for you to return home."
Xzavier was aware that he would be able to escape unscathed owing to this sweet youngster, but he did not want to rely on her in the future in order to endanger Quaid. Most importantly, he did not want Earlene to become a stopgap between the two conflicting forces. It would just make her feel more self-conscious and depressed.
Earlene paused for a little moment after hearing his words, as if she was seriously considering an important topic.
"I don't think that's a good plan."
Xavier stated emphatically, "It's not your job, and there's no reason for you to become engaged in this mess with me."
Earlene gave a slight head shake and said, "That was not my intention at all. I am aware of my father's paranoia because I am extremely close to him. He is willing to go to any length to complete the task at hand. Put your trust in my analysis, because I doubt he'll let you go so easily. If you wish to ensure your own safety, you must leave the Marshi Empire. You should be gracious enough to let me accompany you until then. "
Xzavier frowned and stroked his chin with his palm, as he was considering her proposal.
"I concur with her." Babara made the following claim at this point, "The governor is a terrible politician. In my opinion, Earlene still has a good measure of belittle for her father. Even if we leave the Marshi Empire, I don't think our safety is guaranteed in any manner, or form. Certainly, but not nearly as dangerous as it is right now. My concern is that we will have to organize our own army to oppose him.
After giving it some thought, they came up with a plan to leave the Marshi Empire as quickly as possible.
"So, how do we proceed?" Babara enquired Xzavier.
Xzavier's first thought was of Sikeda Town - the outlying town where he had spent his first time in the isekai and where he still maintained contact with two individuals.
He'd been missing a lot about Tacy, and he planned to give her one last visit before leaving.
-------------------------------------------------------
The governor's mansion had an unnervingly serene ambiance inside.
During the investigation, Laddie told Quaid about the mission that didn't go as planned.
Quaid maintained the silence by impassively sitting in his chair. Laddie cringed and huddled behind him, unable to speak a single word.
Quaid showed no negative emotions as a result of the failure; rather, he stayed quite calm throughout the entire event. He didn't blame Laddie for his hesitation. In truth, Quaid was not the type of leader who would shift blame to others; rather, he would quietly regret to himself that he had failed to anticipate the crisis's growth. If he had done the math, he could have avoided taking the risk in the first place.
He looked like an experienced hunter at that very moment, hiding in the shadows and getting ready to kill the animal he had cornered.
Quaid briefly closed his eyes and pretended to be Xzavier. After everything that had occurred, he must be eager to leave this environment. Better still, outside of the Marshi Empire entirely. So, which path should I take?
Oh, yes!
When Quaid finally opened his eyes again, he did so with a satisfied grin on his face. He cast a glance at the copious information regarding Xzavier in his palm before sending some dire directives once more.
-------------------------------------------------------
Despite the fact that his motorcycle was substantially larger than a typical motorcycle, the group of five people had to rent horses because they couldn't rely on just one motor.
The wanted notice for Xzavier and the others didn't seem to have been sent out yet, so they were able to ride on the main road without too much trouble.
"What on earth is going on here?" Xzavier was opposed to making an arrest under the cover of darkness. Did Quaid give up on capturing him? That made no sense. For some reason, something was bugging him on the inside.
They arrived in this barren border settlement after a few days of travel.
It felt like Xzavier was returning to a familiar area because it was the first place he had ever been in Isekai. He couldn't get the feeling that they were extremely close. After all, things that are familiar can always provide a sense of protection and comfort.
They mounted their steeds and walked through the congested metropolis. Xzavier felt a sharp feeling of longing for Tacy after recalling a few details about her.
Xzavier was ready to enter the underground exchange to trade his items when he was recognized.
"Oh my goodness! Are you the savior who ended the orc chieftain's life?" As they passed, a pedestrian paused to stare.
"That's me," he confirmed. Xzavier smiled and gave a tiny nod.
"You don't know what happened last night, do you?" said the unknown person, grabbing Xzavier by the shoulder.
"Please continue."
